HOW WE DO IT…

ADVOCACY

Our Advocacy work gives families a voice in a system that too often silences them. We walk alongside survivors, helping them navigate the legal process, attend court hearings, and demand accountability. Through public policy engagement, legal partnerships, and direct case support, we fight to ensure that families of homicide victims are not overlooked—but heard, respected, and empowered.

AWARENESS

Through our Awareness efforts, we shine a light on the silent epidemic of homicide and its lasting impact on families. We share real stories, host community events, and engage media to humanize the numbers and awaken compassion. Our goal is to shift the culture—from one that ignores victim families to one that sees them, supports them, and stands with them in the pursuit of justice.

ALLIES

Our Allies component is led by the Victims Care Team—dedicated volunteers who provide consistent, compassionate support to families impacted by homicide. While they may not share the same loss, they offer a steady presence through listening, prayer, and practical help. From the moment tragedy strikes, our Allies walk alongside families, ensuring they feel seen, supported, and never alone in their pursuit of justice.

DIRECT SUPPPORT

Our Direct Support component meets families where they are—with care that goes beyond words. Through our support groups we create safe spaces for survivors to connect, share, and begin to heal. We also offer access to grief counseling and limited financial assistance to help with urgent needs in the wake of tragedy. Because healing from homicide requires more than justice—it requires community, compassion, and tangible support.
